Dionysia was formed in 2000 when five guys from Fenton, MO came together in a basement to have a jam session. Their musical influences range form Rock, Latin, Funk, to Improvisation. Due to their aggressive and unique style Dionysia has an incredible loyal fan base that is reaching out from St Louis to Kansas city to Springfield and to the many great venues in between. Dionysia has played with repeat performances the main venues in St Louis (Mississippi Nights, Pop's, The Galaxy, Cicero's, SallyT's and Off Broadway to name a few) with the crowds growing at each performance. Dionysia, by request of their fans, have released two live CD's, "Live at Mississippi Nights" and "Live at Miss Molly's" with a tremendous response. At Last count 1,400 plus copies have been pressed with the CD's selling out in just a few weeks. Dionysia's Live CDs are being played on many local radio stations all across Missouri, but the band can't wait until the release of their first studio CD, which should be completed May or June of 2002. As stated by the band....
"We are pouring our hearts and soul into this CD, and so far we are proud of what we have completed. It has been a lot of hard work but we are having a great time watching it come together." Be sure to watch for Dionysia CD release party sometime this summer.
